Funerals

We are sorry for your loss

We are sorry for your loss and will do all that we can to help you through the process of planning and preparing for a funeral, ensuring the service is as personal and beautiful as possible. Mark or Nick will make contact with you at the earliest opportunity and call round to meet with you to offer support and plan the service. If you would like to hold the funeral service in St John’s Stoke church we will do anything we can to support you, or if you would like one of the team to lead the service at the Crematorium we would be very pleased to help.

Contact the Church Office 01483 574562 or email office@stjohnstoke.com and we would be pleased to help.

Safeguarding & Inclusion

Protection of all children, young people and those who are vulnerable is of paramount importance to us. We have adopted the Diocese of Guildford Safeguarding Policy.

Rachel Hill and Elodie Curran are our appointed Parish Safeguarding Officers, whose role is to ensure that everyone who works the Church in any capacity has undergone the necessary checks and training beforehand and, working with the PCC ensures our policy is implemented. Specifically, everyone who works with under 18’s and those who are vulnerable is taken through a recruitment process and is checked for Enhanced DBS clearance. For more information about our policy and the guidelines and training we give our volunteers and workers please contact us.

IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS AT ALL ABOUT THE SAFETY OF ANYONE,
Please contact our parish safeguarding officers Rachel Hill and Elodie Curran and both can be contacted on besafe@stjohnstoke.com
