Mark is married to Nicki and they have two young boys and a baby girl.

Ordained in 2002, Mark was a secondary school teacher in Guildford before training for full time ministry at Trinity College, Bristol. Mark is passionate about church growth, inspiring worship and good biblical preaching.

As Rector, Mark is the full time pastor and leader of St John's Stoke and oversees the work of the whole church.

Fiona joined the staff as Curate in July 2009. She is married to Paul and they have three teenage children.

As curate Fiona is involved in many aspects of ministry within the church, but has special responsibility for evangelism and outreach, and building links with the local community. Fiona loves the challenge of communicating the gospel and ministering to people of all ages, whether they be 3 or 93!

Di has been a member of St John's Stoke for many years after serving for twenty years in Thailand. As a member of the staff team, Di has particular responsibility for prayer ministry during the services and assists in pastoral care and support.

Helen works part time in the Church Office. If you phone the church number she might be the person you speak to! Helen is responsible for preparing materials for services, newsletter, booklets, leaflets and publicity in the church.

Bev works part time in the Church Office.  If you call it could be Bev who answers.  She helps prepare the services and other church material, operates visuals in services and is a deputy church warden.

Carol keeps the Church and centre running smoothly.  She deals with all our bookings and makes sure the facilities are kept in really good condition.  You can reach her on 07804 698022 to discuss bookings and she can often be seen popping over to the church.  She also helps run Toddler Group

Janet is our Pastoral Assistant and has responsibility for leading the prayer chain, bereavement visiting after a funeral and being a central point of contact for pastoral care. Janet is a trained and licensed Pastoral Assistant.

Hannah has a passion for leading people in worship, taking people deeper with the Lord. As a professional singer Hannah has a heart to develop our sung worship and praise God with our voices. Hannah is married to Mike, who plays bass in one of our bands.

As a recent graduate, Dave knows what modern student life is like. Dave is available to welcome all students to the church, help students get involved in the life of the church and he works to support and encourage local Christian Unions in Guildford. Dave organises our student lunches and supports ‘Mustard’, our student small group.
